Most of the video had the radio drowning out the car, so this is just the last bit when I finally realized to turn it off. Better video after the jump.
W8. Hideously unrealiable, not super well made, absurdly complicated, not all that fast, but God damn it can be made to sound good.

Or a Viggen SAAB. Or if we’re just talking similar power numbers in a FWD car, our Flex, which torque steers like nobody’s business.

After seeing just how tiny the 4.0 V6 out of my DD Explorer was when I did the timing chain tensioner a few months ago, various ideas of small-displacement V6 powered things have been endlessly floating around my head. Thinking of finding a Cheap GTP or any of those supercharged 3.8 pontiac cars, that is totally rusted out (not too hard in CT) and stick the motor in something. Only thing I’d have to figure out is a transmission so I can mount it longitudally in something. Mgb? Miata? Who knows!

I was just thinking fwd V8’s, but yea I guess there a fair amount of cars with similar power and FWD.

Ehh im not a fan of those engines. Obviously do as you wish, but imho something with forced induction and 3.8 liters should make more then 240hp.

Really that’s all those things make for hp? Darn Stinkin ‘Murica.... Maybe I’ll make a go kart then. Or put it in a garden tractor. Or a chainsaw. Or a food blender. In the meantime... A fender flared, flame spitting, turbo’d audi 5 cylinder engine in an Mgb just popped into my head, so I’m going to go off and fantacize about that for a bit.

I was interested in buying a W8 a year ago, but every dealer I asked about a W8 including a) the VW dealer, b) the Audi dealer, c)the local Audi/VW expert-dude, and d) the old high-mileage European car dude all told me to avoid the W8 with the same sort of care as I would a rabid hyena, as I am not a mechanically inclined person.
